    well that damascus certainly is lovely !!

    I wonder about the size though

    it seemed to me tat most if not all Japanese razors are substantially smaller than that, the ones I looked at recently were 17x2cm

    I could be wrong without a side by side

    several people here have made Japanese style blades but they are all large

    while the craftsmanship may very nice indeed, I suspect it loses something when you make it BIG .........

    like a 3 ton Porche

    Very nice work Mark.

    One question though. How does the edge look with the vertical etching going into it? This has always been a concern as I have seen a couple that are really tough to shave with as the edge ends up basically serrated. May be OK for knives, but obviously not razors.
