    Default Best Steel????

    Hello!

I have a question to my friends.
    What is the best steel to make a Straight Razor 8 / 8 or 7 / 8.
I love the Filarmonica, so today was the best razor I used, I do not know you have other better, counting on help from you, because I believe that you know other brands.

I make Razor because I'm already doing the wiring I need now only the slides.
There is in Brazil until the time a manufacturer of Razors and I wanted to change this.
But I want to do something good and different.
    Please help me.
    Thank you very much
    Ale

Honestly there is not a best steel. If there were, everyone would use it. Read through a lot of these posts for suggestions though.

What steel do you have available to you? That would be a starting point. Determine what equipment/techniques you will need to heat treat & temper that steel. Thats your starting point.

    Hope this helps,
