    Gorgeous - put me on the list when you start making customs - you have a bright future ahead of you (even if you only do it as a side job)

    Buddel;

    You do nice work.

    It seems a shame to waste that piece of Damascus pattern welding work after all the time it must have taken to produce it.

    May I suggest you experiment with it and try hammer forging a piece of regular steel around it to form the handle. It might yet produce an interesting result. Please see my (crude) drawing below.

    That is not a crude drawing. It's very good! - and a great idea, making a neat Damascus Frameback.

    How cool is that?

    Over the christmas hollidays I used the time to finally finish my own mini razor. Like i wrote some weeks ago the shank is welded. It is visible but nothing serious for me.
    Itīs for me more a sign like this: "...the red painted indentation on the blade, which is characteristic for this axe form, has a religious significance in Japan. The irregular recess represents the fallibility of all man-made creation and is an apology for intervention into perfect and divine nature."

    The scales are from rams horn.
