1st attempt making a razor
Hi guys,
Thought I'd post my progress to date, here's my 1st razor ready for heat treat. I'm only to aware of pitfalls from here on so thought I'd better record fact that I've got this far (even I'm surprised). Progress is painfully slow as I don't get much spare time. Opinions welcome, don't hold back, I've made a few mistakes and would certainly do things differently next time, but have learned lots in the process. Have to give full credit to Bob Allman so far as I've followed his methods posted on this site, Bob has been a great help so far. Photography isn't brilliant but hope it gives enough of an idea for apraisal.

No, I dropped out of the Delr1um project as I'd got this one one the go for a while. I dropped out due to lack of speed and fairness to other members. Wouldn't mind some of those balnks though, if any up for sale.

Thanks Deler1um for blank, will pm you regarding cost and shipping. Will up a picture of side soon, my photography dosn't do it justice as a lot of detail is lost so may get a friend to take some pictures. Looking forward to some more of the guys posting their progress and sharing learnings.

Congrats, looks very good for me
. Much, much better than my first try. Hope you will finish it good. The most important part is still before you. Grinding after the heat treating is challenging...
Best wishes!

Thanks fellas so far for very positive feedback from such experienced members, it means a lot to me and very encouraging. For Deler1um will get a picture of profile up tonight SWMBO permitting. SWMBO got me fully booked for next few moths on house projects, but should be able to get forge built. She goes to parents for week in May so that's my heat treat slot. I know it's kinda going about things the slow way, but please feel free to chuckle at my expense.
