lol... neat thing about my job... i fly for free.. *(standby in the empty seats but free is free.. ).. so i am sure you guys will see me at a meet one day....

wifey poo is not a latina... she is gringa *(6' tall amazon... )... and probably the sweetest girl on earth...

i also am gringo but fluent in spanish due to work and friends....

now back to the good stuff....

i see the logic in starting at ~250 then working my way up till if find "the sweet spot"... i climb to it and there is less chance of overshooting and having to restart the temper process.....

ok.......... raised temp to between red and bright red followed with immd quench in used motor oil *(silkolene synthetic 10w40 removed last week from my zx14).... as i type it rests *(serenely) in a oven at ~255degrees..... timer is ticking....

timer went ding!!!

pull it from the oven... 255 for 2 hours.... waiting on it to air cool to touch..... then........ out come the hones *(evil grin)...

ok... finally after 3 trips to the oven i have finally came to the conclusion that the file i made this from was sh*t..... chinese made POS file....

the other 2 i made from quality made in the USA files hold their edges and get sharp... very very sharp....

but this one no matter what i did it would get sharp.... then if you did ANYTHING to it... strop... CRoX etc... it lost its edge rapidly....

therefore... it has ceased to exist..... there will be a short ceremony later..... alas poor yorick... i knew him well.....
