Thanked: 4WIPs
I took some designs I liked and made them my own
The one that is cut is almost done grinding. It's far from perfect, but I learned a lot from it. It is cpm154. I have enough of that for 3 more. it being expensive, I decided my next 3 will be from 1095. I also have some A2 and n690 (which is similar to vg10 as I understand it) on their way.
The other three are inspired by
TI crown wing
Brian's (milemarker60, Arazorstale) W&B copy
and a folding kami I saw in the japanese straights thread.
I'm looking forward to applying what I learned on the first one to these, getting them ht'd by peters, and making some more in other steels once I know how the ht affects them.
As always, criticisms welcome
i only ground my first blade today on my new 8" grinder. It was tricky figuring out how to keep the curve centered, but I think I have it down now for next time. If people have tips or experiences to share, I'm all ears
