Thanked: 1936I agree, more than likely just ground to shape and heat treated.

Some time ago, someone had a frameback with replaceable blades.
I think that the blades were just ground to shape, heat treated and then ground to final shape.
Since the blades have to match the frame, getting extra blades now is custom work.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 2027I think back in the day they may have been stamped out and treated like disposibles for razors like the Le Coultres (SP?)Have had separate accesory packs of them in the past, they also came in I believe two diff. sizes.

I would look for some precision ground O1 that is close enough to the thickness that you need.
- Grind the perimeter shape a hair oversize. make a few extra
- Have heat treated
- Grind to shape

Check with Aldo Bruno at njsteelbaron.com. Bet you $1 and a donut he can beat Jantz price. Call him though, don't go through his website.
