Thread: Best way for detail work...jewelers files or dremel stylus?

I'm experimenting with adorning the spines with decorative attributes...vines, snakes, etc. Which is the better route to take? The dremel stylus or jewelers files? or both? With the jewelers files is it necessary that they be diamond coated? If anybody has any sources for where I could get this type of equipment, please let me know. As always, thank you for your help!

I'd think that for detailed work, gravers would probably be your best bet.
