The forces and the weights involved and yet they make it look inconsequentially easy. Makes me want to heat up the stove and beat the skillet into a razor blank.

Very cool indeed, it is like ballet with very big tools. Those are some talented folks. It is amazing how long that big mass of steel retains heat.

That is indeed amazing. Though the flip side is it will take a long time to heat up.
And I also suspect that an enormous aount of heat is generated by the mechanical deformation imparted by the presses.
It is no coincidence that the initial compression of the block to a cheese wheel makes it glow much brighter.
