Is there anywhere that I can get O-1 tool steel in europe or do I have to order from an american vendor?

    O1 is the American name:

Aisi name (American) O1, the O stands for Oil hardened so quench in oil.
    Din name (German) 100MnCrW4
    EN name (European) 1.2510
    BS name (British) BO1

If I can find it in my small country (and I can) you can find it all over the world.
    Look HERE

I just got mine from Sheffield

They had it listed as Gauge Plate ( O-1 tool steel )

Tool Steel 01 - Sheffield Gauge Plate Ltd. Sheffield UK - Precision Ground Tool Steels, Ground Flat Stock

I had mine from Ashley Iles who make fine craft chisels out of it.

I get it directly from Uddeholm, Sweden. They make very good steel, and their prices are reasonable, wish they would carry O-1 in cold rolled also, or precision ground.

I tried uddeholm but they won't sell to me because I don't run a business

Lol, thats strange. Here in Hungary I can buy steel from the local Uddeholm store without any problems, but you can't do the same from the mother company at home? Funny thing, and sad also.
