Homemade scriber
Just thought I'd post some pics of a homemade scriber I made today. I still have to cut the bar to length. Materials used is a 5/8 drill rod, De-threaded Nut, nail, and a screw. nice easy build...

I like your style!
I use a cheap digital caliper as my scribe.
Measure spine, divide by two and mark.
Im pretty sure I saw it In one of Charlies videos.

Scribing razor blanks. It's adjustable as the nut slides and has a set screw. I am going to add a washer on top of the nut tomorrow. Kind of like this but a bit simpler.

Thanked: 1936One of these days I'll get/make a real one, but I've been using a drill bit the same thickness of the steel...the point is center for quite some time.
I like your mentality...you don't have something, you make it...my kind of guy.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

Thanked: 1184Nice going. I have to make one of these. Lets see # 289 on my list of things to do by summer. If I didn't have a job I could really have some fun :<0)
