    Default Forge Lining?

I have been gathering up the things needed to put together a forge, and I was wondering... When using the kaowool, do any of you use "rigidizer" for it before coating it with the ITC100? or does the ITC act like rigidizer, so its un necessary?

Most refractory folks advise a rigidizer so the fiber is a. More durable and b. safer, cutting down on inhaled fiber risk.

Any of the ITC-like priducts are infrared reflectors keeping more usable heat where it gets more work done.

No particular favorite, it comes down to finding a refractory supplier who has some. Look locally for art supply/clay or boiler construction or repair supplies.
