Standard Guide to Razors: Identification and Values 2007 - where to get one?
Hey guys,
I've been checking the net for a good bargain on Standard Guide to Razors: Identification and Values 3rd ed (2007), but haven't been able to find a low priced one, can anyone please recommend or post a link to a US store or owner with the low(est) price, it doesn't have to be new?
Since 2nd ed book (1998) is cheaper, I would like to know how big the difference between the 2nd and 3rd edition (i have 2nd borrowed and can check it) is, since some of you surely have both ?
Thanks for the help

Cheapest I have seen it is on Amazon and Ebay for $50 or so at the cheapest. All the places that state "Out of stock" have been that way for quite awhile.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

yes, unfortunately this price has risen to 85$ for used at amazon, and there isn't any on ebay at this moment.. 85 for a used one is a still a lot, especially considering the price tag of 12$... I even tried to find one or another authors to contact them if they have any stock but wasn't able to find any email contact (the only one that was promising ended up as a dead link )
does anyone have a spare copy that he/she would be willing to sell at a reasonable price?

You can't have mine. Nyah, nyah, nyah. Sorry, that was very childish of me. To make amends, here are the addresses the two authors printed in their book. Roy Ritchie; 180 Royhill Road; Hindman, KY 41822 and Ron Stewart; P.O. Box 2421; Hazard, KY 41702. These are from the 2007 edition, so they may still be good. (Just don't tell them where you found them.)

@Walt: I managed to find Ron Stewart and all but when it gets to getting his email the sub-site gives an (i think) 404 error... , I haven't been able to find the other one's either..
@cudarunner: I'm not sure I get it,.. k+ US dollars?
the cheapest I managed to find is in India but the site says "on vacation", so I'm guessing they've been on vacation for a while (althought google says there was some sort of vacation on Monday and tuesday)
I contacted 1 bookstore and they have 1 unopened 2007 copy , the price is 50$, so unless someone is willing to sell soon I'm probably going for this offer.. well my wife is since it's my BD soon ..

Yes my friend, you read correctly! Someone wants: $3,194.79 in USD for a copy! Go to:
Half.com: Standard Guide to Razors : Identification and Values by Ron Stewart and Roy Ritchie (2007, Paperback, Revised, Illustrated)(9781574325508): Ron Stewart: Books
There is another link at the same site for the same book and it's much better priced:
Half.com: Standard Guide to Razors : Identification and Values by Ron Stewart and Roy Ritchie (1998, Paperback)(9781574320916): Ron Stewart: Books
I've used that site many, many times and usually I can find great deals on new items including books, this time isn't one of them! Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

my guess would be he missplaced the decimal palce D: ... (maybe a europeand misusing a US decimal separator or vice versa ), althought, there are too many decimal places in this hypothesis
