    Default Barbers in RI/MA for classic shaves?

    Does anyone know of any barbers in Northern Rhode Island or SE Massachusetts that offers a classic straight shave?

    I'll second this request. I've not found one yet. I think it would be a great experience.

    I'll ask my barber next time I'm up. He doesn't, but he seems to know quite a few barbers in the 2 states.

    Sounds good Steve.

    I asked mine and he laughed. Now, this isn't a 'nice' place that I go to. It's just fun hearing all the old men bitch about sports and whatever. And since I just get a buzz, it doesn't really matter (I sometimes do it myself in the bathroom). I don't think it would pass any dept. of health inspections, but I try to tune that thought out...

    There's a shop in Arlington that still uses a straight to trim- (a weck these days). I asked if he still does shaves last time I was in and he said not too often. He may be convinced to start them if he gets people looking. PM me for the info on the shop.

    there's a new shop just opened in milford that advertises hot towel shaves, whatever they are. it's on East Main st at the Cedar st intersection. next time i go by i'll note the number and name.
