yeah, coarsest to finest is easy, what works best for what steel is the hard part. Most the stones are around the 6-16K mark, leaving my few ultra fine polishers 20K+ and my coarse 800-4k stones.. Originally Posted by edhewitt

I had 60 + at the height of my AD. Down to about 20 waterstones and 5 oil stones. Enjoy them while you have them, we ain't taking anything with us when we go .......
