Shavings effect after intense physical activity
Today was my first ever SR shave, and it so happened to fall on a tuesday.
For those of you that arent me, tuesday night is Tae Kwon Do night. Its a Korean martial art.
Well, about half way through of the night, giving my all the whole time. I notice my face REALLY burned for no apparent reason.
It feels JUST like razor burn like you sometimes get right after a shave, only i didnt get it this time.
I think its related, like the high stress physical activity that spikes your blood pressure and temperature causes the agitated pores of your skin and what not, to hurt.
but truth be told, i have no idea
One of my masters sayd he never shaves on tues/thrus because of TKD.
I was wondering, has anyone else experienced this. or are we here in Minnesota, just plain weird.
(After the night was through, it went away)
Funny that i have never shaved with my safety on a tuesday or thursday..."What goes around, comes around"
I was done a favor by "Bill3152" and would like to pass it on to anyone in need
If your in need, id love to help

Thanked: 1184Your first few SR shaves are going to leave your face a little raw. Although it may not hurt with the after shave, when the blood starts pumping and the sweat starts rolling I bet it stung a little.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Probably the salt in the sweat. That's why in the old days when they beat someone they would throw salt on the wounds.

I work second shift 3pm to 11pm and shave after work. I work out every other day, in the morning, with kettlebells and body weight exercises. I will usually not shave the night before I work out. I agree with thebigspendur I think the salt in sweat irritates the newly shaved skin.
A man should only look in the mirror when he shaves.
