    Default that terrible sound (DING)

    just got the Sheffield from the mail box. looked great. cleaned it with semi-crome. got the 1K out and the sec. it touched the stone (DING) looked like a half moon fell out of the center. some times you get the bear and some times the bear gets you

    the only thing a person can do is first be shocked then sick, then just laugh about it. I wish it was all rusty. then I wouldn't hate it so bad.

    not photos . I've got to learn how to do the pictures. but it did do just a perfect half moon out of the center. it was a 6/8 round point and perfect until I got it.

    You think it could have been an old crack, any corrosion on it where it cracked?

    there might have been an old crack but if it was it was so small. I looked the blade over close when I got it. some times things just happen.
