    Default Power of razor maint.

I have been lazy since I recieved my paddle strop from Tony. I picked up several razors a while back that were almost shave ready when I got them and kept them up to shape by just using my paddle. I put off using my Norton since the paddle was much easier to use. This was working very well until I decided to use my 6/8 Puma that I had not used in a bit. The paddle didn't get it where I wanted it so I didn't use the Puma again for a while. The other day I broke down and took out my Norton 4k/8k. I used the stone and followed it up with the paddle. Well today I got a great shave with it and I am very happy. I guess this just goes to show that sometimes you just need to use the right equipment for a specific job.

I know what you mean. You have to take care of your equipment. It happened to me with a brand new Revisor. I had polished it and used it a few times, dried it off and put it away.

A week or two later I pick up the razor and my shinny new Revisor has all black water spots. Took awile to polish it back to normal but now if I am not going to use a razor for a few days, they all get coated with Castor Oil,
