Thanked: 1263The Things We Want
Ok everyone,
Starting a thread just for fun to see what people want. And I mean, let's be serious here and keep it real, these are the things you can spring for or save up and actually get…let's try and keep it shaving related unless you can't help yourself and have to venture outwards. (Ya, we all want a super car or a mansion)
I'll start…today, after looking for about a year placed an order for a Kanayama 80000 strop after doing the whole humming and hawing deal for over a year…can't wait to receive it and hopefully confirm all the hype.
So what, especially with the Christmas Season approaching are your wants? Who knows, that special someone may read your post and make your dreams come true…let's hear em

I would quite like a friend for my Swedish frameback. I think his current two pals are both American (well maybe American an German l am not sure), so he has no one to share saunas and abba nights with.
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

A NOS vintage Japanese King Pelican straight razor with the pearlescent light colour scales, and a NOS Filarmonica EPBD 8/8 square point, but be careful what we wish for, If you haven't seen the Stephen King film Needful things you will know exactly what I mean.

Thanked: 4826I would really like a very nice strop. There are three that I go look at often. I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on razors and hones over the last couple of years but somehow can't bring myself to spring for a new strop. I'm still running my old nicked up one. I also want to get my rock for hones dialed in and would love a Stihl Rock Boss for harvesting hone material, and a wet sander for lapping.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanked: 603- I would like someone(s) to buy the DE and straight razors I'm selling, so that I could pay my electric and telephone/Internet bills for January, February, and March, and my Q2/2014 condo association fees. After that, I begin collecting Social Security benefits -- enough to cover all my bills, if only just.
As for "Things I Want" (shaving-related), there's really nothing: I've got all the soaps, creams, and scents I could use in this life (and the next), I've got DE, SE, and straight razors for almost every day of the month, and I've got the requisite DMT plates, Norton waterstones, Spyderco finisher, and powders 'n pastes to get and keep 'em sharp. But if I'm required to list something, it would be the motivation to hand-sand and hone some of those two-dozen "naked blades" sitting in a cardboard box on my living-room floor.
For everyone else, may your wishes come true! You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I am in a really great place right now!! I really don't want anything! Sacrilege I know!!!
But seriously, like most, I went hard. I have a bathroom and an office full of stuff that's a testament to that.
I am enjoying what I have right now. It feels great. It will no doubt, not last... but right now, its damn near Zen lol.David
