Thanked: 375My Wife purchased me two vintage straight razors from auction and what looks like a vintage shoe shine box, a little elbow grease and honing and these two blades are back in business.
Then...............I bought myself a Hart Steel 7/8 satin finish in Black resin scales, been saving for a year. Plus some Christmas money from Mom and Dad put me right where I needed to be to pull the trigger.
You all must have wonderful people in your lives. They took the time from what I can see to pay attention to what makes you happy and that's important aside from the gift's we all recieved, someone who pays attention.
Have a Happy New Year!CHRIS

Thanked: 4207Hi gents.
I posted in a few of those other threads some of the things I gave, and received this year as this SR hobby/addiction is new to me this year.
My wife spoiled me with a nice shaving box filled with gobs of goodies and a new shaving skuttle. Gonna smell so fine..
And for my 19 yr old son I put together the below kit with a NOS Millord from '46 and a brush I made for him out of his grampa's old steer horn. Made the stand too.
When he opened it I actually got a real hug and a few moments of loss of words from him, if ya know what I mean.
That moment was the best gift I got this year to be honest, and won't be forgotten.
Anyway, hope you all received and gave from the heart.
Happy New Year SRP denizens..

Have myself a premium buffalo strop from SRD on the way. That's about it this year.

Due to water intrusion and mold that was not disclosed when I bought my house I've been working on my house every spare moment. So, I took advantage of the Christmas sales and got some power tools for myself to help with the work.
I did find a few vintage razors for myself though... So, let's see...
Dubl Duck Goldedge
Dubl Duck Satinedge
Pearl King International Cutlery
Oh, and I got my SRD modular paddle strop I ordered...
