I love it Brad. I get to pay the same amount for any TI and Dovo that you guys do. I get the same selection from the vendors who sell them. The Dovo rep has never talked to me. I did get to speak to David at TI once.

Pretty special eh..........hahahahahahahahahahaha.......

I still say mission accomplished.

I used to do that too till the dog died. For some reason they don't believe it anymore.

I can tell you about pre-internet, I was about 19 and stationed in Germany. My girlfriend at the time, Father saw me shaving with a Mach one, And in german asked me what the I was shaving with. He told me that it was an abomination and started me on SR (he said it was so I could be a good father). Well I learned and about a year later, it was time to go state side, to Dothan, Al. and Fort Rucker. The Army would not let me take my Razor, Calling it a wepon. When I got to Rucker, There was no place to Buy a SR, let alone strop or soap. So I did what I had to. Went back to Gillette, Until about Five yaers ago when I caught the bug again. In other words, Pre-internet, you did without.

I've been a wet shaver all my life and have had a interest in straights all that time although I never met anyone who had used one (my dad recalls his dad using one because when he got into strife he would be belted with the strop, until one of the three brothers chopped it to bits noone will own up to it to this day)

Anyhow, after watching all the Westerns (yeah start laughing) about 15 years ago I found a old razor and a strop at a antique store and started to strop just like in the movies and yeah, it wouldn't shave, so I put that idea on hold.

With the bug still biting I bought a new Dovo and strop about 12 months ago and got a reasonably good shave until I started to strop like a spastic again.

I then did a internet search and came up with this site and the rest is history. Found not only the information I was after but also a Community that I am proud to say that I am a member of.
