The title of the thread was taken from gssixgun today in a honing thread. To paraphrase he mentioned the use of the term 'overhoning' that would appear frequently as an explanation of for a lack of success at honing I guess. So I was wondering if there were other beliefs that were once 'set in stone' so to speak, that have since been discredited, or highly modified?
