Visited Imperial Shaving (the SRD retail store)
Oh my goodness...I was like a kid in a candy store! If you weren't aware, SRD not only does business over the web, but they operate out of a retail shop in ultra quaint Medina, Ohio (not too far from Akron, in NW Ohio). A must visit if you're ever in the area. What a great space, with everything wonderfully displayed. Lots of tester bottles for just about every brand and scent...even the ultra pricey Penhaligon's colognes, in which I indulged. The biggest collection of brushes I've ever seen and all the wonderful strops to feel and compare. Just great. Awful if you shouldn't be spending money!

Thanked: 498Nothing beats going to a brick & mortor store and stick the old beak against a bottle opening to smell it before you buy it.

that sounds so amazing, I wish that there was some kind of store like that in the Boston area....
i love SRD and have ordered many many of their products online, but what would is unfortunate is that I can never feel one of their leather strops before I buy it to get an idea of what the texture is like

I drive almost right by the store everytime I go home on leave and have never actually stopped in, I will probably stop in next time I am in the area, might just have to leave my wallet in the car
