Thanked: 0I too used a mach three for a long time, and a sensor excel before that. I could never understand my dad using a soap bowl and brush, just seemed like alot of hassle, when you could just press on a can and get instant lather.
Time went on, and although i reckon I got the best possible shave a mach 3 could offer, it was just too easy, and for me easy isn't satisfying. The shave was over very quickly, and i wanted it to be a bigger part of my day.
I expressed an interest in straights to my partner, and she just kinda laughed at me, "oh my god (God, sorry) not another fleeting interest!"
She was right to say this, afterall, last year, i took up freestyle frisbee, squash, club juggling, radio control slope gliding, amongst other things.
She really stumped me this Christmas with a Dovo straight. And her family topped it all off with a shaving brush, creams and soaps.
From this day on, shaving to me is a total ritualistic obsession! I cannot wait for the next shave to come, try some new techniques, get a little slicker with the movements, all that kinda stuff.
Nothing better for me than coming home after a long monday at work, bathroom to myself, just me, my brush, razor, and all my other prized shaving goodies! It really takes my mind off whatever i had to deal with that day, and returns me to my normal relaxed state!!
And my spare time is spent here, learning more each day, practicing my honing, just generally immersing myself in everything shaving related!
everyone should be doing it!!!
