Default My eyes have been opened

Well got my new DE razor in the mail today and was like a kid on Christmas waiting all day to come home and try it out.

Got home and took a nice long hot shower to soften things up a little like suggested then took the new blade for a test run.. WOW my face has not been this smooth since I was 8yrs old. I will never be standing in the cartridge isle again throwing my money away. I really cant wait until sunday to try the SR for the first time. I plan to DE during the week and save a nice SR shave for sunday mornings when I can take my time until I really get the hang of it.

    So I have a question,

I know between re lathering do you re wet the face each time ? I did and it was messy but seemed to work good, if so does anyone keep two brushes going ? One to wet and one to apply cream ?

    Thanks,

    Brian

    Well done,

I just splash a little water on my face with my hands when I re lather between passes, but try a brush, why not, whatever works is good.

I generally just wet the tips of the bristles of my brush if I need to wet the lather a bit, otherwise I just apply lather straight onto my face from the brush.

You should have enough water with the lather on your brush to keep going. Sometimes I do like Ed and dip tip and maybe hit the puck before I go back. Too much water though and you kill the lather. You'll figure it out and what works for you may be different.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
