Cool Post
I'm sure I will commit a faux pas doing this, but, there is a really cool post over at B & B called "Barber Trick" in the General section by "icemncmth". Since I so rarely look into the General area I thought I'd mention it.
For those not inclined to look, it involves him watching a barber with a new client and running a cotton ball over his face to determine the grain. Its a nice quick read though. Two thumbs up, as they say.

I saw that "tip" over there too. Excellent advice. Just think how much shorter the learning curve would be if you knew that grain of your beard right from day one.

Thanked: 4942It's a great point. You can feel the grain with your fingers actually and in a lot of cases see it with a couple days growth. We have not discussed this much, but it can be a great help when shaving, particularly with the touch ups after the usual passes. I have always taken it for granted that people knew which direction their beards grew and where the colics where, etc.
Thanks!!
