Thanked: 31I think I'm going over the edge.
While at a pet/fish store today, I found myself looking for possible scale material and possible material for a pasted strop and ?possible hones?. Geeeez. The rocks at least we're slate. Didn't buy anything. Yes, I resisted temptation! That must mean I'm not addicted. Right? How about the rest of you all? Are you ALWAYS looking?
Still must go back......sometime."The needs of the many out way the needs of the few or the one." Only if the 'few' or the 'one' are/is offering themselves (thru freewill) for the sacrifice. And not thru force from the 'many'.

Theres another thread on SRP that has me looking at EVERY rock I see.
Luggage straps...You bet I look.
Leather belt....Sure do.
On and on. But don't worry, It gets worse.

Thanked: 4828I have a rockhounding issue. I look at all kinds of rocks all the time. It's a bigger deal for me because I live in the wilderness so they are everywhere, and I can't help myself. I'm always tapping on rocks and rocks on rocks looking at hardness and grain, checking to see if it is wet if there is any sparkle to it. I'm sure it afflicts us all in a way suited to our environment.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!
