Well I got into straight razors around 2008, but as one thing led to another I got lazy and reverted to Gillette Sensor for a couple of years...

Recently we were really pinching pennies and I needed new blades for the Gillette... man those things are expensive! So I thought to myself.... I've got all this great stuff for straight razors which I really prefer anyway, and it's paid for....

Skipped the blade refills, honed up my razors... now back where I can actually give myself a decent shave in a reasonable amount of time. Sure is nicer than the Sensor! Wish I had the time to really enjoy it with music and all like I used to, but with a 9 month old in the house I'm thankful to have time to take a shower these days!

And a welcomed return I am sure it is,
make the most of the Bub now @ 9 months and enjoy it all, as the next thing you'll know they are up and running then you will be even busier
    Saved,
    to shave another day.

Welcome back!!! Hopefully, your child doesn't run in and scare you during a shave soon lol.
Razor rich, but money poor. I should have diversified into Eschers!

It's nice to hear that you're enjoying your straights again, and congratulations on your baby. However, that 9 month-old will soon be getting into everything, so you'll need to keep your straights secure.

Guess I'm coming at it from the other side now...I've put enough coin and effort into straights that I couldn't afford a cartridge based shaving system now.....
