    Default Looking for some stuff

I have convinced at least one of my coworkers to ditch the cartridge, but he is not comfortable with a straight. I convinced him to try DE, and was wondering if there were any Brick-n-Mortar stores that would sell DE's. I am in the western suburbs of Chicago. I found plenty of stores with blades, but none with razors. Any advice? Also, any place I can walk into and get something to dress a strop I'm about to take the pumice to? I'm looking to get this all done tomorrow, as it is my day off from work. Thanks!

    Default Me too

I was just about to post a similar question, hope you don't mind my jumping on here. I get to the Chicago area from time to time on business and pleasure, generally west and north suburbs, and sometimes downtown. I'd be interested in any shaving tools/supplies in the area as well (straights in my case).

Sorry I don't have an answer for you Harry! Hopefully others do!

The Oakbrook Tobacco Company has some stuff, but their prices are outrageous. Almost 2x the price of Classic Shaving. I am still looking around, but I made an order of strop dressing from Classic that should be arriving soon. It seems that Brick and Mortar stores that sell razors (I buy straights for myself, DE's for others) mark up a great deal because they realize that they can.
