Default Things Happen for a reason!!!

So after the great give away here I am excitedly waiting for the TM strop to be delivered feeling happy about having a good strop and a reasonable one to practice my stropping skills on...life's good, I'll get taxed on the strop no doubt but hey who am I to complain!

So imagine my dispair when my little girl decided that my reasonable strop needs a bath!

Never mind thanks to the generosity of the guys here I have another on the way!

What a place, what a community!

    Si.

Awh! The joys of children. I am told that I once flushed my Dad's dress shoes in the toilet hours before he had to attend a friend's wedding...

Apparently, I once painted the walls with feces. Glad I can't remember that one.

Heh, I am told I peed the ceiling once (seems quite an achievement from the crib )

but this doesn't hold a candle to ripping the tails off of my dad's jacket (he used to conduct an orchestra a bit) to make it a trendy high waist-length punk attire...

man, I got loads of crapp for this. He still remembers it

    Cheers

As for the strop - this has happened before here, I remember reading about it. What's more important, though - this is not such a disaster. I have done it to recondition vintage strops. As long as it dries flat with no folds, etc - I'm betting it will still be useful, certainly good enough for practice.

You bet! The first thing my 9 yo did when I gave her a new skateboard was to try an ollie = big whole in the family room's wall... I think it took her all of, um, 3 seconds to achieve this

My wife and I were speechless for a while

    Cheers
