Thread: Received my give-away prize

Holy smokes. Thanks to all that contributed. I happened to get the Geneva Razor, and it's a beauty beyond anything I have. It goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) that it's the sharpest razor of my 4 razor "collection".

Rather than start another topic, I will just jump on this one. I received my Shapton hone on Friday. I am still new to honing, so I need to do a little research before I get a lot of use out of it, but it looks awesome. Thanks to whoever donated this puppy, and thanks to all who donated for this wonderful giveaway.

Got the Sprock razor the other day along with some nice soaps. I haven't tried the new razor yet but I did use Colleen's soaps with my DE and they are fantastic. Next will be my first real shave with the new razor. Thanks to all again, this is such a great community.

My Robeson Has Arrived!!!

It probably would have gotten here sooner if I had given Lynn my
CURRENT zip code instead of one I lived at 20 years ago...
Oh well, I was only one digit and 90 miles off, but the good folks at USPS
got it here to me anyway.

What a beauty! When I got home, my wife & children couldn't wait
for me to open the envelope, as they had spent half the day smelling
the wonderful smells from Coleen's samples inside. So we spent a few
minutes with each passing them back and forth with our eyes rolling
back in our heads as the scent was incredible...Thank You Coleen!

Then I got to the razor....You know, back when I first joined up on SRP,
I remember seeing a photo of what I think was this very razor. It's a
Suredge with hammered tang, # 16-F-300 on the tail, square ends
on the scales, and "The Razor that fits your face" engraved on the blade....
Simply Beautiful! I love this scale shape, and the edge is incredible!
The reason I believe I saw this razor long ago is that whoever posted the
photo commented on a small portion of a label that was still on one of the
scales. It's still there, and about all I can make out of it is letters "N", "OUND",
and "HEAVY".

A great BIG "Thank you!", to Lynn and ALL the folks here at SRP for the
information, support, a generally great place to hang out and keep something
from the past alive and well, but mostly thanks to everyone involved with
the giveaway, Coleen for the incredible soaps, and especially to whoever
donated what is now "MY" Robeson...

Got my new caswell massey brush a couple of days ago and really like it. Nice and soft! Thanks Lynn, and everyone who donated to the giveaway. Cant wait to pay it forward in the next one.

I should have posted sooner. I received my Dixie straight razor shortly after the drawing. I would like to thank all members that made this giveaway a great success. It's amazing how helpful other members are with advice etc. I look forward to donating to the next giveaway when ever that may be. Again thanks.
