I have 2 bokers, a king cutter and a boker special, both 5/8s and they are both outstanding shavers. The king cutter required some work because it had a nick in the edge and it took a long time to hone up but all in all I think boker is right up there with henkels as far as quality goes. If I was looking for a razor I wouldn't hesitate on any Boker depending on the condition of course. The one you show looks great. As long as you can get it for a price you are comfortable with.

The Edelweiss didn't get a full honing as the buyer was rescaling and he definitely knew how to hone. I could sell the small oblique for $35 shipped, but one of the scales is cracked, so you would need to replace them. Otherwise it's in great shape, including the goldwash.
Well I want a 5/8 or 6/8 King cutter, in a like MINT condition if that is possible

JohnP. gave me one of these a few weeks ago. Although the scales are a little warped, it is one of the best shavers that I own. The blade took a very sharp edge all the way up the blade fairly easily. If you can pick it up at a good price (I am not sure what this would be) I would definately say to go for it.

I bought a Red Injun NOS off ebay for $41.00 (I think, maybe $46.00) I can't remember the exact price but one of these for sure. I was so surprised at how well it shaved. There was a seller that had 11 of these all new, never used. I should have bought them all.

Just notifying you gentlemen that a respected member of the community who may or may not identify himself picked up the small oblique and it's already packed for shipping on Monday. It's almost completely clean and more than worthy of a good rescaling. I hope to see some pictures once it's done

I managed to pick up one of the unopened Red Injun 101s as well. Amazing little shaver and number one in my collection so far. I am glad I was able to get it, though I paid about three times as much as you. Oh well, worth every penny to me.

Oh you most certainly will see some pictures. This will be my first rescaling project, and I was happy to get such a good razor for my first go. Thanks again Ilija.

Matt, I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll do with this baby. For some reason I'm also a fan of 4/8 obliques. There's a wide streak of size discrimination, so it's rare finding someone who'd put effort into re-scaling an under 5/8 even if it's a Boker. This blade will be the perfect candidate to prove them wrong
