    Default Pacific Shave Oil

Does anyone have experience with this product? It's a combination of various all natural oils...I recently picked up a bottle and it seems to be decently effective. The company suggests you can substitute this product for lather, but i decided instead to test it as a preshave oil. Used a Feather "Artist Club" (felt confident i got enough sleep the night before )

    Interested to hear others thoughts.

I've read people singing it's praises and some that don't. I've never tried it so I can't say one way or the other. Get a good soap and try the oil as a preshave. Wait a day or two and then just try the soap and see which you prefer. I don't know if I'd go as far as substituting it for lather totally especially if your using something as sharp as a Feather, that just sounds like a recipe for a disaster.

Shave oil is one of those "love it" or "hate it" products, I guess. I personally don't like any of them.

However, I've also read good comments from those that do like this type of prep/product.

Right, I did use it as a preshave with lather. Subpar quality to the art of shaving oil, but better than some other less expensve brands.

I tried shave oil and didn't like it much. Different strokes for different folks.

PSO didn't do that much for me, but for some, if nothing else, it helps eliminate irritation. Personally, when I shave, regardless of whether the razor is a straight, DE or injector, I am FOCUSED! Some lose that focus. Personally, I found Shave Secret to be more productive than PSO. It was much more "slick", but it was so greasy, I hated using it.
