Thread: A few Firsts

Well I achieved a few FIRSTS today

I shaved with BOTH hands!
Never practiced just did it.
NOT HARD AT ALL!
In fact it was quite EASY to accomplish.
I will be doing this from now on.

I put my bowl into another bigger bowl that I had filled with HOT water.
Got a NICE WARM lather to shave with!
This is another thing I WILL be doing from now on...

Congrats! In my first SR. try, 35 years ago, I used only one hand and was always struggling with the left side of my face. Gave it up for cartridges....when I came back last year with a pro-honed razors (and SRP) I used both and was amazed how easily I adapted since usually I can do NOTHING with my left hand beyond scratching my butt.

Figured I would give it a go.
It's been almost 2 yrs. for me now.

Good job. I am still just using dominate hand, not sure if I will try both hands lol.

i might try a FIRST for me and try to shave with one hand ..lol... not to be funny but because i had surgery on my dominent hand and cant use it right yet ..lol

i had picked up a pewter bowl a while back at a antique store , i used to set it in the sink in as hot of water as i could while i was in the shower , then make my lather in it as i ran fresh hot water in the sink then set the bowl back in for that warm lather effect .. something i went away from but after your post i think i will do it again on my next shave !!
