Thanked: 5shipping to a PO box?
i'll be moving into an apartment building on may 1 and therefore will be changing my shipping address (i have one of those little PO boxes in the lobby of the building). I've never had to have anything shipped to a PO box before. Are there any added difficulties involved? does USPS airmail letter post ship to PO boxes? i still want to be able to receive all those great ebay specials responses from people with personal experience receiving shipments or from people who have shipped to a PO box are welcome

Thanked: 5wait are the boxes in the lobby even considered PO boxes?
this is taken from the USPS website:
Street Address
Use a Post Office box or street address, but not both. If the address also has a directional (for instance, "NW " for Northwest), be sure to use it. There may be more than one Main Street.
Apartment or Suite Number
The correct apartment or suite number helps to ensure delivery to the right location.
this makes it seem like they'd come up to my room...that can't be right? don't they just stick it in the little box? what happens if it's too large to fit? do they leave a little message saying where you can pick it up? that's what i'm used to if i wasn't around to sign for a packageLast edited by edk442; 04-19-2007 at 07:05 PM.

Thanked: 1587I'm not entirely sure about this, but I think I've seen a couple of ebay sellers recently who say they can't ship to PO boxes.

Don't know if he's a one-off or what.

Thanked: 5after a little looking around it appears i am talking about an apartment mail box and not a PO box. so i assume it should be no more difficult to ship to an apartment box than to a regular house address? anyone else live in an apartment with some experience?

Thanked: 5I'm out in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, thanks for the help I think I've got this figured out. I was just scared I'd order stuff and have it get lost because I don't know how it works haha. Good to know I can have stuff shipped worry-free
