    Default A grateful SRP moose

Just a note to the fine folks at Straight Razor Place to thank you all for the support, resources, and overall entertainment SRP has brought me over the last several years.

In 2014, I lost both my parents to a long battle with cancer, my sister/brother in law were almost killed in a horrendous car wreck, and several other personal "issues" tried their best to drag me down.

With that, I found the simple process of shaving brought me a bit of that "zen" each day to help me clear my head, and keep going.

I took some time last night to touch up several of my straight razors (Red Imp wedge/hollow), a Puma, and a basic Dovo. Knowledge gained through a couple of SRP meetups and several SRP members who took me under their wing have given me a solid foundation in a daily ritual helping to keep me grounded.

One of my personal goals for 2015 is to learn to hone. Game on!

This might be a shaving forum, but for me...it was a saving forum.

Many thanks from a grateful Moose in Atlanta.

    Hey Moose,

Sorry you had such a horrible year. I pray that 2015 will be a much better year for you.

You're totally right about SRP. It is much more than just a shaving forum.

    Take care,
    Jeff

Thoughts and wishes that everyone has a better 2015 than 2014. Take care of yourself!! A few quiet minutes for yourself each day is not selfish. It is self survival and necessary. Find what you enjoy for those few minutes so you can help your family and others. You deserve peace and happiness too.

As I've learned as a newbie, the SRP forum is much more than a shaving forum. It has been a needed outlet for me, too. In many respects a life-saver. I am hopeful that you will have a much better 2015...God works in mysterious ways....
