The Joseph Allen razors are superb Sheffield razors, right alongside W&B, Elliot, and Wosty...very nice.

Thanked: 634Check the library under the database of razors. Is sure you will find something. Must have been a topic of discussion at some time.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say you haven't seen any posts about Joseph Allen razors. If you search for the name, you will find plenty of posts.
As a side note, if you are happy with the way a razor shaves, what else matters?

I'm quite sure there listed in the SRP as there are many I've never seen or heard of. what I said was I hadn't seen any post by members. Are they not as popular as the other sheffields did they not make as many or the opposite did they make too many. I'm happy with the razor I have that's not what I ask. As far as post on the razors I haven't seen any post on them. I was beginning to think I was the only one who owned one. I read post some days and some days I don't . I know that watching the eBay that Wade and Butchers are popular I see a lot of them. Wotenholm there popular I just don't see as many Joseph Allen just thought I'd ask the question.

Thanked: 1184Okay guys quit playing dumb. The secret is out once again. Rhensley , we keep quiet about certain brands so that we can collect a lot without everybody else knowing. My 15 seven day sets with matching serial numbers are just a start to what I want to have in my collection as far as JA's go :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanks 10PUPS. I now understand why that since I joined the SRP in 2013 that I personally haven't seen any post on the Joseph Allen razors. I knew there had to be some and I knew that SRP or at least thought that SRP would have info on the razor. You can always trust the PUP.

One of the *great* things about JAs is that because they haven't been all hyped up, bargains are to be found. I have found them lurking in many more antique shop cabinets than any of the other classic Sheffield brands. They are very good razors made from very good steel and they work really well. So enjoy yours, and... shhhhhhh!!
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
