    Default Lesson learned

Lesson learned...... when shaving with a straight razor, one should not engage in conversation with ones wife. If one does, one will likely find ones throat bleeding, and one feeling rather stupid. Don't ask how I know, just suffice it to say "I know".

You obviously used the word "no" somewhere in the conversation, they have powers......

Wife did that to me once, asked her I was trying to learn this straight razor thing and actually was, "shaving...a little peace and quiet please"...got the whole arms-crossed and scowl routine...so, next time she was having a bath, popped in with the newspaper and sat down on the toilet and made my point rather loudly without actually saying a word.

I've found I can do different things when working with a blade but being talked to by the Swiss Miss is not one of them. Nice little scar on back of finger as I was trying to watch a game, polish a scale, then BOOM, she chimes in and the red flowed. I guess when she is third I lose.

One would think that one would know that two is no good.

I maintained a speakerphone conversation whilst I was shaving, it's all a question of timing your strokes.

As soon as my wife starts talking to me when I shave, I pose the question:
"Do you want me to cut my self?", she has never been the reason for my cuts, but she gets the hint.

My wife says I have selective hearing when she speaks. I say it's because of the years of air craft in the service and the heavy equipment for the last 40-50 years. either way she doesn't bother me when I'm shaving .
