Thanked: 0A good shave?
Obviously a "good" shave will vary from person to person. I was curious on what those "good shaves" or a "good shave day" could entail. I'll start off.
A "good" shave for me is when you have a good lather, consistently good technique (so the hair is removed without having to do many touch ups) and you can get it completed in a reasonable amount of time with minimal cuts or nicks.
Is that the general consensuses or are the definitions varied. Would love to hear your thoughts. Maybe a "good shave" is simply you shaved with no cuts or nicks occurring. Remember there are no wrong answers here.

A "good shave" for me is a one-pass that removes the hair for at least 10 hours. No nicks, weepers, etc.

I have very sensitive skin so a very smooth shave with no irritation and a perfect BBS I consider it a premium good shave.

2 pass in a reasonable time with good lather and post shave comfort. For really nice BBS almost all over, this takes an extra pass on the neck. For totally awesome, full three Pass that has me feeling my face in my sleep 20 hours later.

A good shave is anyone you can walk away from - with clean cheeks, a pretty smooth neck and jawline, no nicks, no weepers and no irritation in under 12-minutes. The hairline difference between good and great was another 200 shaves for me.

Thanked: 154Two factors for me :
- everything must be "smooth"
- the "kiss test" : my girl kisses me and deems the shave acceptable or not
So far, str8 and kamisoris are what I have found the bestBeautiful is important, but when all is said and done, you will always be faithful to a good shaver while a bad one may detter you from ever trying again. Judge with your skin, not your eyes.

For me every shave is a good shave. I really haven't had a bad one in so long I forget what it is.
