Looks interesting, in fact looks good.
Guess we're all extreme here....this is in the About section
"Can A Shave Change your Life?
I too would have scoffed at this question, had I not sat down in a tiny barbershop along Italy’s Adriatic coast. But it wasn’t the hot towel or exotic locale. It was the blade. A dangerously sharp razor that banished whiskers with an effortless, pleasing click. My face was so smooth and clean, I could only rub my jaw and wonder, “How have I never felt this way before?” The Short answer: nobody made a razor that brought this unique experience home. Typical cartridges felt like sharpened tinfoil (self-torture) and straight razors seemed extreme. I was hell bent. I wanted that impossibly close, transcendent Italian shave every day."

Been a big to-do on the high buck shaving forums. They pay that much for a brush over there and $300USD is a pittance for a new razor, the way they do it. Those are razors designed for the guy what got everything.
I would guess the actual cost off the CNC machines is about $80-100 depending upon the quantity and type of machine they have. The really fancy machines do all of the part in one setting holes and grooves and all. If you have a Hundred fifty thousand dollar machine.
From what I read, he had made and tested 7 prototypes before he got it right.
That is not cheap to do.

I have a razor almost exactly like that but it is about 70 years old and cost me about $296 less. If I can figure out how to post up pictures I would show it off. Looks like this Vintage Enders Speed Black Handle Safety Razor | eBay
SRP. Where the Wits aren't always as sharp as the Razors

Thanked: 3795Maybe one can justify the cost of the razor, but how about the blades?

The blades aren't too far above Feather Super Pros. If they're as good it is a bit higher, but not 'that' bad. Three hundred for a SE safety is pretty steep though.
Read the "How To Shave" article on that site. Hot water, pre shave, never against the grain. I've been doing it wrong for years ...... and cheap too .........Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Additionally, this is a SE with a swiveling head, so obviously targeting at the Gillette Mach 3 crowd making their first foray into more traditional wet shaving.
They've paired the razor up with some pretty fine products though, Thater brush, Castle Forbes Lavender Shaving Soap is featured, along with their pre-shaves and balms.
One reviewer mentioned that the swiveling head was a feature that he didn't like, as it took away control of the blade from the user's hand. Was interesting to have to let the razor do the work rather than moving the hand around to get the angles. Mentioned that after two passes there was still stubble, another mentioned they could feel the blade tugging after the second shave, and the blade fit very snugly in the razor, making it hard to get out.
