Giving a Razor/Honing Demo at local museum, suggestions needed
So next month I am scheduled to give a razor demonstration at my local museum. They have a nice antique barbershop display with a few chairs, SRs, shaving mugs....
I think I'm basically just going to sit there and hone a few razors and answer questions as people have them for me. I'll take a few DE, SE, and SR with me to show the variety. I have a couple shadow boxes to mount them in so folks can see....but not touch. Any suggestions on displays I can make (and printable sources) for the different point styles, blade styles, etc.
Anything else you think I should do or be ready for would be helpful.

Few drops of blood on the cuffs of your shirt may garner some interesting questions and a few gasps and a grin or two.....

Back to the original post...
If you have some things that a person can hold and wiggle and see what that things may be like it always helps. Not knowing your audience, the idea of covered showcases is a good idea. but some stuff like a cheap strop and very dull razor/s on strings for after can be a winner.
If you have a friend to do watching for you, that will help your concentration. I hate to be in relatively unsupervised areas with sharp stuff. Some get-togethers are like that also.
Check the :

You could find a friend nearby.
You know more than the audience, take one question at one time. Answer it to the best of your ability and move onward to the next one. My problem is when i answer a question i tend to give waaaayyyy too much info and a simple answer is best for new people.
Have fun!
