Default Shopping for shaving gear in Cambridge, UK

    Hello all,
I'm going to spend the next month in Cambridge. Where can I purchase soaps, razors, brushes, lotions and fragances, etc.? Is there a flea market or antique shops where I could perhaps get a Straight razor? Thank you for any help you can give me.

Its been a good few years since I've been to Cambridge, it's a beautiful city. Ive just done a quick Google search a there's about 5 antique shops, always worth a visit.
    Good luck.

I don't know specifically about Cambridge but sometimes tobacconists have shaving stuff - soaps etc. It's maybe classed as old-man's / traditional stuff to go with the pipe smokers etc. ;-) Doubt you'll find a SR in one but you never know. A local one to us has DE razors and a few bits and pieces.

Thanks so much, I've already returned, but hope to be back in some months so I'll start googling those. I took my DE and blades in the check- in bag so no problem with security people. I managed to sample Penhaligon's fragarances in their store There is a small shop on Sussex Street, Cambridge Leather Bags, he has Dovos, both SR and DE razors and D.R. Harris products and miscellaneous shaving accessories. The owner told me that people complained about their sharpness and I explained that they needed to be made shave ready. ( If there is any member in the area who provides this service it could get you some extra work. I was not as a tourist and on a tight budget so all my delightful shaving related disorders had to be restrained. I found Tabac after shave in Boots stores (chemist/drugstore). Also Wilkinson DE blades in some Boots, and Palmolive shave sticks in Superdrug (got one for my traveling kit). I loved the city. I really liked the city. So beautiful and so bike friendly.

For DE blades, try blademail.co.uk or .com if they're still going. I bought a bulk order and now have about 20 years supply, then bought my first SR so they'll last me out! ;-)
