Three cheers for Larry at Whipped Dog.
I got my sight unseen from him. Its not a show razor,
but it shaves well for a hundred year old tool.
I could be mistaken, but I don't think he tapes the spine when he sets a bevel.
I see fresh polished steel on yours. To deobfuscate is to convert something that is difficult to un͝d̡͝e҉͞r̴͝st̨̕a͘͢n̢̛d̕̕ ̧͝
into one that is simple, understandable and straightforward.

Thanked: 3795Well given the fresh spine wear it is apparent that he hones without tape at some point.

Thanked: 5I don't mind the hone wear. I like my razors to look like they survived a zombie apocalypse.

Then you're dealing with the right guy.
Kidding aside, if you have any inclination to learning to hone your own, having someone who could show you up close and personal is a great benefit. I had such a guy lived about 30 miles from me years ago, and he showed me the ropes. If Larry was willing to show you it would be a great advantage to you, assuming you want to hone.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
