There is a facebook group called Straight Razor Shaving. I don't know if anyone on here is a member but it's a minefield for newcomers to SR shaving, which most of the posts seem to be from...

So many vendors flogging dodgy looking razors and general misinformation

Is there an SRP facebook page group out there?

yes there is, just type in the searchengine: straight razor place facebookers.

I am also there.

And the same rules apply on the facebook page as on SRP. And we try to catch any vendors and their dodgy tricks as quickly as possible.

I found it. This other group seems like bad news for newcomers though

It's a closed group; maybe that's a good thing...

It'd be fine with me if FB went away. Once my mother and aunts got on, I figured it had hit critical mass was going to be around for a long time, since they aren't the type to move to the next big thing.

Tis funny though. People with lives don't really exist on there, but people without have awesome Facebook lives. It takes up a lot of time to look cool on FB.
