Default Christmas Help for a Newbie

    Hey all!

I'm new here and looking for advice on how and where to buy a straight razor for my SO. He's never used one but expressed an interest recently.

Because he's a newbie, I don't want to get a super expensive razor (preferably $50-$100) in case he doesn't like shaving with it. But I also want it to be good quality. I don't mind restored or rescaled, but I want it to last. I've already gotten him a strop, brush, soap, et. al. so the only thing left is the razor itself.

Anyone have recommendations, or even a link to someone selling on here that would work?

    Thanks!!!!!

I would look at Straight Razor Designs for a Ralf Aust or Dovo in 5/8 or 6/8. The classifieds here at SRP should have something in your price range if you want something vintage.

Yeah for your price range something from the classifieds here will be best. Just either ask or read in description that its shave read. Most razors there will be.
