What is there about a straight which, at this point in time, COULD be patented?
I suppose a particular pin mounting process if it were unique enough . . .

Thanked: 1936They are loosing $$, so they want to stop the bloodflow of people realizing it shouldn't cost so much to shave. Now if those folks would just look at DE and Straight razors their minds would be blown that it doesn't have to cost so much...nor be so miserable feeling.

Well, I don't know about cost being less...I shaved with a double edge for many years before I moved over to a straight. I see the double edge as a gateway drug of sorts. You have the soaps, the brush, the bowls/mugs...then the cost blows the roof off if you indulge in the sheer fun of the pursuit.

Reminds me of a gun shop I went into once and was talking to the guys about handloading .45 ammo. I was trying to justify it and said, it sounds like it would be cheaper? They looked at each other and at me...nope, it will cost you a lot more because you will find yourself shooting more!

Thanked: 3215I was fine with one razor for about 10 years, then walked into an Antique store in the early 80’s, found SRP and the lid blew off…

Thanked: 49I wonder how they are planning to sue for infringement on the Mach III "technology?" Hasn't the patent expired on that one? With that said, I understand Why Gillette is suing. By all accounts, it cost them $750 million to bring the Mach III to the market back in the late 90's and over $1 BILLION for the Fusion line.
