Thanked: 351Just so nobody gets a hold of the wrong end of the stick, I did not *give* the Shaptons to Danny! I sold him the hones at what I think is a very nice price, but I did not give them to Danny for free. I DID however include a lot of trinkets on the side, to round out the deal. Things like a "good enough", as in my first strop, from The Well Shaved Gentleman, a basic stone holder, an old razor to practice honing and stropping. It wasn't pretty, but it could be turned in to a good shaver with some work. A small amount of Chromium Oxide for his paddle strop and that's about it I think.
Regards

Folks,
I will never regret the day, that during my lunch break passed through "Thomas Hinds" and saw Dovo SR on their display. That moment the decision was made. I'm in! Few weeks after, registered on SRP and impressed the so worm welcome. After that, was mini meet with Capitan Zero. He was really patient and replied for my endless and dump mails, directed to different sources, shared his knowledge and experience .... he make me sleeping for less then 4 hours for couple of weeks.
and finally, after sharing my thought to get some stone for refreshing the blade, he came with an offer, that was impossible to reject. I'M LUCKY GUY!!! His trinkets just were awesome. This is a best Christmas gift ever!
Chris, your stropping almost ruined my marriage. Mrs. cough me planning to drill a hook.....
This Saturday, she got a night shift...Trust me guys, the strop will get a honorary place in my bathroom.
To make long story short, I'm so happy with new hobby and hope one day to be on a position that allow me to share my knowledge and help to a new comers as Chris doing....
