Thanked: 5SRD honing cost?
for those of you that have sent your razors to SRD, I was just wondering what a rough cost there would be to have SRD sharpen a straight for me. including shipping, return shipping and the 25$ fee itself. assuming i am shipping 1 razor. (im sorry if this is a stupid question, but i have almost no experience with shipping items, or the cost involved)

Shipping is whatever way you send it, can be cheap or expensive, also you have people closer to you too, like right next door. Tc

A quick question the site should have you an answer quickly.
It's been quite sometime since I had anything shipped from SRD but as I recall it was very reasonable.
When I ship razors home after honing or working on them for someone I use USPS Priority small box shipping. It provides a sturdy box and the shipping times are fairly quick. It's now $6.80 however since SRD is a business they have access to more inexpensive ways of shipping.
Give them a line, chances are you'll have an answer today. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

It's been 5.35 time I did it, the have a shipping cost calculator on there, something like the bottom of an item, can't remember if you have to add to cart first but it's there.

Thanked: 220At least you don't have to ship out of Canada, it's twice as much as the sharpening!

Thanked: 4826That is true but there are guys in Canada that hone also. I can think of three in Alberta and there are others to the east. There really is no need to send a razor that far.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!
