Thanked: 3795Another funny part of the story is that some school administrator claimed that the boys were not harmed by the razor, but rather by the trap door they were dropped through after they were pretend sliced in the neck. Ain't it add that the door cut both of them only in the neck?

The straight razor seller: "He said he sold a lot of them, especially with the popularity of single blade shaving increasing recently."
Good for his business this story :-)Last edited by Maarten; 04-08-2016 at 07:04 AM.

Thanked: 3795"Cole also told media that the prop razor, which caused the injuries, had been blunted and wrapped in several layers of duct tape.
"It had been bound in Cellophane, bound in all sorts of things," he told radio station Newstalk ZB. "It was very non-sharp, blunted, and had been through all sorts of health and safety checks. It was a very unfortunate mishap."
"An investigation is being conducted to determine exactly what happened and ensure this does not recur," Cole said, adding that counseling was being offered to all students, including the play's cast and crew.
The college canceled Thursday night's performance of the musical, but said the show could resume on Friday.
"Obviously without those particular props," added Cole."

"Obviously without those particular props"!!!!!!!
Is there some way that we could contact the school and invite all of the students to join SRP?

BS, Auckland is a hell hole but don't know about the devil worship part. It's the bloody cannibals you have to look out for here. Has gotten a lot better though, haven't had a tourist go missing since the late 1990's. Meat pie anyone??? Tastes like pork.Into this house we're born, into this world we're thrown ~ Jim Morrison

Thanked: 481Worst cut I've had to date was trying to sharpen a cheap display katana. Since the blade was almost 4 ft long, and my stone only 6" x 2" I pinched it in a vice on a table outside and was running the stone along the blade. For anyone thinking this is a terrible idea: you're right. The stone slipped off the blade about half way through a stroke and my finger ran down the rest of it. I thought I had lost the tip of my finger, and had to work up the courage to check and see what was left. Luckily the blade was still pretty dull and the bone stopped it from going straight through. Took years for that finger to regain any feeling, and it's still a little numb.
I can't help but question the blunted and wrapped in tape/cellophane/other things story. I've blunted a straight to the point it wouldn't cut wet paper, much less skin. And if they were wrapped with any sort of tape or other material, the only thing it would do is leave a friction burn.
