Default Shaving is one of the nicest things I do to people.

I work in a very serious Neuro Trauma I.C.U. The things that we do and deal with on a daily basis is often some of the most horrific events in our patients lives. Every so often I am able to take a moment of this traumatic time and give someone a good shave. Most of my coworkers don't quite understand, but to me it is one of the more pleasant things I get to do for someone. It gives both myself and the patient a brief moment of normality. They get a chance to relax and enjoy something that doesn't envolve blood, tests, or crazy medical terminology. To me it is one of the most rewarding things to have a former patient return to say hello and thank us for helping them in their darkest hours. Of those people several of them have pulled me aside and thanked me personally, saying they don't remember much of the time they spent with us, but they remember a great shave someone took the time to give them.

First Thanks for caring for these people. I know how difficult it can be since my mother had a tumor center of the brain back in the 70's when taking care of these patience was very difficult. I'm glad that there are people like you who can do this. I don't know about now but back then a lot of the folks who had head injuries or tumors in the brain didn't make it. God bless you and all the others like you.
